Your Challenge
Your Way!

High quality events to take on at your pace – as a Run, Jog, or even a Walk – or a mix of them all! For a wide range of fitness levels, ages & experience; for a charity of your choice or for your own goals. Challenge yourself in wonderful British scenery, with full support and camaraderie — and, with your spirit and determination, you’ll be able to push yourself further than you thought possible.

With 16 running events; numerous distance options; a few 10km ‘tasters’ – AND a NEW  TRAILBLAZERZ® category for ambitious runners – there’s an Ultra Challenge® for EVERYONE.

It’s Your Challenge – Your Way!

An Ultra Challenge® is for EVERYONE – whatever your pace. Lots take it on as a walk  – but we reserve the early start time slots for hundreds of runners to head out on a clear course.

Many ‘Jog’ and see how it goes over their chosen course & distance. ‘Cut off times’ enforced on many trail events don’t impact Ultra Challenge® runners – as they’re set for the slowest walking pace!

NEW for 2026, there’s a TRAILBLAZERZ® category for faster, competitive, runners, with an eye on the clock – and trophies, prizes & course records at stake for some!

TRAILBLAZERZ INFO >>

A ‘continuous’ 100 km full Ultra Challenge® is tough, and a serious challenge – but is absolutely achievable with good preparation, our support teams & rest stops stocked with plenty of food & drink.

ORthere’s the option for 100 km over 2 days – with half way camping as a great alternative.

There’s also a popular range of single or 2 day 75 km challenges, testing 50 km ‘Half’ challenges; scenic 25 km ‘Quarter’ challenges, and a set of exciting Trail Marathons too.

TRAILBLAZERZ® is a category for faster, ambitious runners who start in the first wave and take on the fantastic, fully signed Ultra Challenge® routes, with 100km and 50km options available across 16 events.

TRAILBLAZERZ® may be seasoned Ultra competitors, regular trail runners, or marathon & 1/2 marathon’ers stepping on to the trails & upping the distance. All will probably have an eye on the clock – some will be out for a personal best – and a few will have a crack at the course records with trophies & prize money at stake

TRAILBLAZERZ INFO >>

We have a Series of a dozen or so 10 km /10 mile events throughout the season at the main Ultra Challenge venues. Ideal as a ‘taster’ event – or if you just want a shorter challenge – or to take on whilst family or friends are taking on  a longer Ultra Challenge.

10 KM / MILE SERIES >>

It only takes 2 to make a Team! Whilst running can be quite solitary – a Team of like minded friends or family can motivate & support each other, whilst sharing an unforgettable adventure! Teams can do the same or a mix of distances, and sign up with the same or a mix of funding options. Individuals will meet many new friends enroute – and our experienced Support Team looks after everyone!

Many fundraise for a charity of their choice, and with over 700 to choose from you’ll be amazed how much you can raise on an Ultra Challenge®– as friends & family will recognise & support your courageous endeavours! The Ultra Challenge® Series raises £12+ million / year for UK charities.

Others just SELF FUND their places, and achieve something special for themselves.

CHARITIES INVOLVED >>

There’s best value ‘MULTI DEALS’ for 3 or more Self Fund events – with up to 25% OFF!

We want to encourage young people to join Ultra Challenge® events – so there’s 20% OFF Self Fund prices for those aged 24 or under. Under 18’s need to be accompanied by an adult participant.

Ultra Challenge® events are fully ITRA-certified and recognised as UTMB Index races.

Completing a challenge updates your UTMB Index and earns Running Stones towards entry into the UTMB World Series Finals, while ITRA Points provide a standardised measure of race difficulty used across trail running events.

Full Support

An Ultra Challenge® is a special journey, and it’s our unmatched level of support which enables so many to push themselves further. We’ll help you prepare with an Event App, training guides, and forums.

On the day there are camping options & shuttle busses; a warm up & atmospheric send off; a fully signed route & optional GPS tracking; marquee rest stops with fantastic food & drink (including Ultra-tailored nutrition & SIS energy products); and expert safety, medical & welfare teams.

Cross the line to a proper celebration: a big finish line cheer; a special medal; a glass of fizz; a souvenir t-shirt; a massage; and a meal – All wrapped up in a weekend you won’t forget.

If you’re up for an ultra, make it an Ultra Challenge®

Pink arrows, pink flags, and glow-sticks at night, mark the route perfectly, and with Google route maps in the App – you won’t get lost on an Ultra Challenge®!

Your progress is tracked at each rest stop with LiveTrail, and with optional real-time GPS tracking via their app, friends and family can follow along from home.

There are bookable coach transfers, shuttle busses & parking options for before & after your challenge to make travel planning easier. Most Events offer camping packages at the ~50km point and at the main start venue for Friday night before the event.

Our rest stops are the BEST! Covered stops every ~12.5 km – all with seating, clean toilets, medical services & a wide range of snacks & drinks. There’re more substantial meals every ~25km and at the finish – all included in your entry fee. Ultra Challenge® rest stops will help you get to that finish line!

Rest stops have expert medical teams, with doctors, paramedics, first aiders, podiatrists & massage therapists. There’re emergency response teams, safety marshals & experienced ‘Trek Masters’ on the route – with a 24 hr Control Room monitoring all aspects of the event just a phone call away.

Experienced Challengers help develop our training guides & videos delving into topics such as foot care, nutrition, hydration & building distance up for all levels of experience.

An Ultra Challenge® finish line is a celebration, and quite emotional for many after a tough journey. You’ll get a big cheer, a quality medal, an optional glass of fizz to toast your success. You can choose to pay a visit to the massage tent, and sit down with a well earned finishers meal.

You’ll take away lasting memories, a powerful sense of achievement, and — once the aches ease — a new desire to take on your next challenge.

Download your Event App once you’ve signed up – with guides, optional extras, and the latest updates. Our lively Facebook forum is also great for advice & meeting fellow Challengers.
