Oval Cricket Ground Start / Finish
As a Team or an Individual…

2023 REGISTRATION OPEN!

London's best Winter Walk

A great event to walk off the Christmas celebrations, and to kick start your New Year fitness regime! There are Full Marathon & Half Marathon & 10K options, all starting & finishing at The Oval Cricket Ground on Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 January, and take in highlights of the Thames, its historic bridges, and many of the Capital’s key landmarks. Families are welcome, there’s a free winter bobble hat & neck buff, rest stops with snacks, with a special medal and hot food at the finish.

Once you’re signed up, there’s a mobile phone App to download –  with all the key information, maps, & details of the walk at your finger tips. There’s also a very active Facebook Group to share your preparation and winter journey with others.

It could be chilly – so there’s a special Winter Walk branded bobble hat & neck buff available at the start if you want one. Whatever the temperature is late January – at least we can look pretty cool!

Coloured arrows mark the routes, with distance markers, glow-sticks after dark, and a map in the App just in case. Our ‘Trek Masters’ are out & about to provide support, with a chip timing system enabling the Control Room (and friends / family) to monitor your start & finish times. We have medics the rest stop venues to deal with any aches / pains or blisters.

New Year diets may still be on track for some – but keeping energised is important, and you won’t go hungry…

Coffee, tea & biscuits ‘to go’ at the start

  • Rest stops en-route, with a full range of snacks & drinks (for full & half marathon)
  • Hot food to go & Winter Walk cup cake at the finish for everyone!
  • All dietary requirements catered for.

You’ll get a big cheer as you cross the finish line, and a well earned commemorative Winter Walk medal. Certificates can be downloaded via the App.
