Ultra Challenge® is the UK’s #1 Series of trekking & trail run events for a wide range of ages, experience & fitness levels – with over 40,000 participants taking on our challenges, and the events set to raise over £10 million for our UK charity partners. These events have the reputation for being the best – and you can become part of a special team that really makes a difference.
We’re always looking for new crew members to join us and help deliver the Ultra Challenge Series to high standards – with 18 or so unique events across the country during our event season. It’s fun & rewarding – with a range of roles that will suit those with previous outdoor event experience – or individuals looking to break into the world of events – or anyone who’s simply after interesting & worthwhile weekend work or volunteering.
The Charity Relationship Manager will play a central role in building, nurturing, and growing partnerships with our wide range of charity partners. You will be the main point of contact for a portfolio of charities – from national organisations to local causes – ensuring they are fully supported, engaged, and able to achieve strong fundraising results through the Ultra Challenge Series. This role combines account management, partnership growth, and campaign support. You will work closely with our wider Partnerships, Marketing, and Operations teams to deliver excellent service and value for our charity partners. There will be the opportunity to work on the events across the UK looking after and managing our partners on the events.
We are looking for recent University graduates, or sandwich placement students, with a keen interest in challenge events, and mass participation sports – ideally with a relevant degree subject, or can demonstrate a passion and interest in the events, charity fundraising or sporting industry. You will gain experience working across the marketing department, customer services, planning and operations as we work towards delivering our Ultra Challenge Series Programme. Alongside the week days working in our Woolwich based office, there will be the opportunity to work in various roles on events across the UK, with our highly qualified & experienced event management teams. We aim to equip, train & teach those with a grounding in the Events Industry whilst having the opportunity to learn, and gain experience in a fast paced and fun working environment.
Great events need great teams to deliver them. Ultra Challenge has a reputation for the highest quality events and participant experience in the sector, and we’re looking for key staff who will share our ambition of delivering excellence! If you’re an Event Manager, or perhaps a professional event Freelancer looking to gain experience of mass participation outdoor events – you could be part of our event management team helping to deliver some of the UK’s biggest & best challenges.
We’re looking for dedicated & enthusiastic individuals to join us and work with us on our Ultra Challenge events over the weekends and set up days. Working on an Ultra Challenge can be fun, engaging and hugely rewarding – from helping to set up the rest stop sites, serving cups of tea & snacks, welcoming in challengers to rest stops, or driving our support vehicles. The roles are varied and you’ll never have a boring mundane weekend! Fancy joining us and gaining some fantastic experience working in the world of outdoor events?
Have you recently graduated this summer, or you are now on a long break from your studies and looking for a great way to travel the country, meet new people, gain life long skills & event experience whilst at the same time taking on responsibility & having the opportunity to earn?
We’ve launched our ‘Student Summer Crew’ programme – for those eager to learn & earn!
I started completing in the Ultra Challenges, and after taking in part in a few I decided to join the Cheer Squad to help and celebrate others achieving their goals. The atmosphere is always amazing, and it’s like being part of a big family – I’ve made friends for life through being part of the Ultra Challenges.
Our Cheer Squad are an amazing bunch of energetic, passionate, and fun individuals – many of whom have taken part in an Ultra Challenges themselves, and are now using their experience to motivate others. We’re always looking to grow the team – if you can give a few hours, a full day, or a whole weekend to help others -at our finish lines handing out 000’s of medals and cheering on Challengers. You will join our team of like minded individuals & have a lot fun!
Trek Masters are fit & active volunteers who give their time to helping others along the actual routes, and bring their own deep experience of Ultra Challenges and a passion for helping others to their finish line. As a Trek Master you’ll be part of a close knit team, and allocated a section of the route to patrol, or to lead groups of participants when the going gets tough, and to support our safety teams during the day or night.
If you’ve got a question please get in touch – and a member of our Team will get back to you.
