Bookable extras are designed to make the planning for your challenge as easy as possible – providing options for your joining & leaving arrangements, and are summarised below. As some participant’s travel & logistics may involve parking, transfers, and maybe camping – please check that the combination you book makes sense!

KENT SHOWGROUND (basecamp) – START/FINISH VENUE
Friday night before your challenge. Suits ALL starting on Saturday morning.
Saturday night is bookable for all wanting to stay the night after finishing.
INCLUSIVE PACKAGES OR ‘PITCH ONLY’ OPTION (including Campervans) ARE AVAILABLE
Parking for your vehicle is available at :
- The Kent Showground Start / Finish Venue
- Supporter Parking Pass – so friends / family can park at Kent Showground (basecamp)
Shuttle buses to help with your logistics:
- Transfer to the Kent Showground start venue from Maidstone East train station.
After your challenge:
- Transfer from your finish to Maidstone East train station
Friday Night – pre-book a delicious hot meal put on by our fantastic event caterers, Extreme Hospitality. Includes a hot meal (a few menu options), dessert and soft drink.
Saturday Morning Breakfast at Kent Showground – buy on the day from our Catering Partner, Extreme Hospitality.
Sunday Morning Breakfast – if you are camping overnight with us there – you must PRE-BOOK breakfast.
10K Meal – If you have taken part in the Maidstone 10k there is an option to book a hot meal post challenge.
NO NEED TO PRE BOOK – AND IS AVAILABLE ON THE DAY AT YOUR START (Pay cash or Card)

Parking is available at the main venues.
All weekend at Kent Showground (basecamp)
Friday 4pm – 11pm (for pre-registration only)
Saturday 6am – 11pm
Sunday morning for campers leaving
Ideal for ALL challengers starting/finishing at Kent Showground.
Supporters can book a pass for parking at Kent Showground (basecamp) only. There is local P&D parking for halfway rest stop at Mote Park.
CAMPING AT THE START / FINISH
Kent Showground
Camping available at our Kent Showground (basecamp) for Friday &/or Saturday night – with single & twin share options
Inclusive Packages – with pre pitched tent & roll mat (bring a sleeping bag & other equipment). Parking is included in your package.
Pitch Only Option – bring your own tent or campervan (+ all equipment).
If booking both Friday & Saturday night you will be able to book this via the form and a discount will be applied when booking.
You will be able to add on extra campers to your Pitch ONLY/Campervan option under the same booking. Make sure you look for the Extra Campers’ option, under the location where you want to camp, on the booking form
Hot showers, rest area, changing rooms, & hot drinks included
Friday night – suitable for anyone starting at the Showground.
Saturday night – for all participants finishing the challenge.
NOTE – A vendor will be on site selling snacks for anyone staying at Kent Showground (basecamp) on Friday night.
NO DOGS – pets are strictly not permitted on any of our venues, including the campsite.
Strictly Banned Camping Items
- Fuel & Fire: NO gas canisters or petrol-fuelled cookers are allowed on site.
- BBQs: Portable or disposable are strictly prohibited.
Key Guidelines
Camping Stoves: Must be raised at least 30cm off the ground and never used inside tents.
Spacious 2-man tent & roll mat – all set up and ready for you. You need to bring a sleeping bag & other equipment – Includes parking.
Spacious 3-man tent & roll mats all set up and ready for you – plenty of space for 2 people and bags! Includes parking.
Reserve a space for your tent or campervan. You’ll have access to hot showers, toilets & other facilities. Includes parking.
Reserve a spot on an already booked Pitch/Campervan on our campsite. (Please ensure when booking for extra campers you have already purchased a Pitch/Campervan space).
Please select how many additional people per Pitch/Campervan (max 3 people additionally per pitch – 4 in total under the same booking). If you would like to book more than 4 people, you will be able to book another PITCH/ Campervan with extra campers following the same process.
You will have access to hot showers, toilets & other facilities.
Pre Challenge Transfers
We’ve a shuttle service to take you to your start line before your challenge. Maidstone Station is well connected and not too far from the Kent Showground basecamp.
Ideal for all starting at Kent Showground.
From the train station to basecamp on a regular shuttle service during the times:
- Friday – 5pm – 8pm
- Saturday – 6am – 9am
Post Challenge Transfers
We’ve a shuttle services to take you where you need to go after your challenge.
Ideal for anyone finishing at Kent Showground
To Maidstone East Train Station – operating regular service during the hours: (there may be a wait at quiet times up to 60mins).
- Saturday – 12pm (Midday) – last train
- Sunday – 8am (for those camping Saturday night).
Baggage storage
Store your bag with us for a change of clothes or shoes, extra layers for the night, or those snacks you can’t do without!
Please note the max weight limits. These are strict and bags will be weighed. Quoted prices are per bag.
Baggage services will be paid in cash/card on the day and you cannot pre book.
Ideal for all challengers
Store your bag safely at the start.
For all official Runners (ie confirmed as a Runner on entry form) our kit drop service will store a small (5kg max) bag for you to keep safe during your challenge.
If you have a bag heavier than 5kg (or a 2nd bag) – please note the standard rates of our baggage service will apply.
