What a wonderful weekend we had on the Jurassic Coast Challenge! We had over 3000 of you take on the course and we couldn’t be prouder – seeing the joy and sense of accomplishment on your faces is truly inspiring. You are all rock stars!

The weather and heat, along with all those hills made for very challenging conditions, but however far you got, you should be so proud of your efforts! With a combined elevation of 2200m, it’s not a challenge for the faint of heart!

Over £750,000 was raised for our charity partners and we were joined by Dementia UK, Dorset MIND (including some staff who were taking on the challenge), Macmillan Cancer Support, Kidney Research UK for support on the day.

We also had 18 Corporate teams taking part including teams from 4Com Technologies, Forest Care and the 39 Engine Regiment.

“Such a challenging yet rewarding event to be a part of it was a great way to bond with my team as well as test my own physical and mental strengths, thank you for hosting such an incredible event!” – Zara Gay, Marketing Assistant, Forest Care.

It’s amazing to see the community spirit during our challenges – strangers, now friends, coming together to support each other step by step. The camaraderie on the course is always one of our highlights but we’ve also got to give a shout out to the wonderful Kate Knight – our final finisher for the 100km route, an inspirational woman who has now completed her 132nd marathon event!

We can’t wait for you all to conquer the Jurassic Coast next year. Please keep sharing your photos and stories on the Ultra Challenge club Facebook group, we love reading them!

If you’ve been bitten by the Ultra bug, why not sign up for your next challenge now and keep the momentum going?
