London 2 Brighton
Virtual Challenge

Perfect if you want to provide moral support for someone taking on the ‘real’ London 2 Brighton Challenge – maybe to also boost their fundraising – or sign up if you just fancy getting active, testing yourself closer to home, or even training for your own ‘real’ Ultra later in the year. Choose your distance – full, half, or a quarter – and walk, jog, or run it at anytime, anywhere over a maximum of 4 weeks before the Sunday finish of the ‘real’ thing. Plot your progress on our Virtual Map, and share your journey & story online with other challengers – virtual & real!

Scroll Down to Sign Up...

You can choose do the ‘Full’ Challenge (~100 km), a ‘Half’ Challenge (~50 km), or a ‘Quarter’ (~25 km) Challenge – and you can Walk, Jog, or Run it – or mix it up. You can start your challenge at any point 4 weeks prior (or less) to the Sunday finish of the ‘Real’ Ultra Challenge.

Once you’ve signed up to your you’ll get a Confirmation Email – and from that you can either ‘link’ up to our Virtual Challenge Route Map with Strava / Garmin / or Fitbit (so your activities automatically feed through to our online map) OR you can choose to add your activity distances manually. With both options each time your activity is logged you’ll progress along your route on the map along with other participants on the Virtual Challenge

Many charities need support after the difficult ‘Covid’ years – and your ‘Virtual Challenge’ can help boost fundraising. You can support a friend’s or family member’s charity if they are taking on the ‘Real Challenge’ – OR just choose your own – including any of the charities supporting the people of ‘Ukraine‘. Within the registration ‘Confirmation Email’ which you will receive, there are instructions of how to set up, and link to, an online JustGiving sponsorship page.

There’s a maximum 4 week window to complete your Challenge (which starts 8am on the Monday – 4 weeks prior to the finish of the ‘Real’ Ultra Challenge at 10 pm on the Sunday. If you’re up for it – do it over the same weekend as the intrepid challengers on the ‘real’ thing – and be part of the action!

There will be a Facebook Group for the ‘Real’ Ultra Challenge ( details in the registration ‘Confirmation Email’ – and ‘Virtual Challengers’ are welcome to get involved. ‘Compere Dave’ will do live broadcasts from the event over the weekend of the ‘Real’ event – so share your stories and add to the event atmosphere!

The Virtual Map – with the progress of all taking part – will be visible on this page!

There’s an official ‘Bib’ to print off and wear if you wish too – and there’s Challenge finishers Medal & souvenir Neck Buff which will be mailed after the the ‘Real’ event – and a downloadable Challenge Certificate.

There are 9 ‘Virtual’ Ultra Challenges across the 2022 season – coinciding with the calendar of the ‘Real’ Ultra Challenge events. Each has 100 km, 50 km, & 25 km options – and each has its own medal, neck buff, & certificate.
