Our range of bookable optional extras are available – designed to make the planning for your challenge easier so that on the day all you need to worry about is the challenge! Please see below for further details then click ‘BOOK NOW’ to make your bookings.

HIRE A 'GEO TRACKER'

Family & friends can follow you every step of the way!

If you’d like family & friends to track your real time progress on your Ultra Challenge, then why not book a new Geo Tracker!  Pick it up at the start of the event – share the map with them – and then they’ll be able to see exactly where you are – day & night !

OPTIONAL SERVICES

Dunster (basecamp)– MAIN START/FINISH VENUE

Friday night before your challenge. Suits ALL who are starting on Saturday morning

Saturday night is bookable for all wanting to stay the night post finish.

ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGES OR ‘PITCH ONLY’ OPTION (inc Camper Vans) ARE AVAILABLE

Parking for your vehicle is available at :

  • The Major Dunster Start / Finish Venue
  • Supporter Parking Pass – so friends / family can park at Dunster (basecamp).

Shuttle busses to help with your logistics:

  • Transfer to the main Dunster start venue from Taunton train station.

After your challenge:

  • Transfer from your finish to Taunton train station.

Friday Night Dinner – available to book for anyone staying at Dunster (basecamp) on Friday night.

Saturday Morning Breakfast – available to participants beginning their challenge on Saturday morning at Dunster. Breakfast the following morning is included in the camping package.

NO NEED TO PRE BOOK – AND IS AVAILABLE ON THE DAY AT YOUR START (Pay cash or Card)

Parking is available at the main venues. If you’re not doing the full Challenge (50 km) – check that our optional Shuttle Services also work for you.

All weekend at Dunster (basecamp):

Friday 4pm – 11pm & Saturday 6am – Sunday 10am

Ideal for challengers starting/ finishing at Dunster (basecamp).

Supporters can book a day pass for parking at Dunster (basecamp).

Camping - Friday &/or Saturday

Camping available at our Dunster basecamp for Friday &/or Saturday night – with single & twin share options

Inclusive Packages – with pre pitched tent & roll mat – (you bring a sleeping bag & other equipment). Parking & breakfast the following morning is included in your package

Pitch Only Option – bring your own tent or campervan (+ all equipment). Parking & breakfast the following morning is included in your package

If booking both Friday & Saturday night you will be able to book this via the form and a discount will be applied when booking.

You will be able to add on extra campers to your Pitch ONLY/Campervan option under the same booking. Make sure you look for the Extra Campers’ option under the relevant location where you want to camp on the booking form 

Hot showers, rest area, changing rooms, & hot drinks included

Friday 4th night – suitable for anyone starting in Duster

Saturday 5th night – for all participants post finish

NOTE – if you want the ‘optional dinner’ on Friday evening, served between 6-9pm, you must book this as a separate item.

Spacious 2-man tent & roll mat – all set up and ready for you. You need to bring a sleeping bag & other equipment – Includes parking & breakfast the following morning.

Roomy 3-man tent & roll mats all set up and ready for you – plenty of space for 2 people and bags! – Includes parking & breakfast the following morning.

Reserve a space for your tent or campervan. You’ll have access to hot showers, toilets & other facilities – Includes parking & breakfast the following morning.

Reserve a spot on an already booked Pitch/Campervan on our campsite. (Please ensure when booking for extra campers you have already purchased a Pitch/Campervan space).

Please select how many additional people per Pitch/Campervan (max 3 people additionally per pitch – 4 in total under the same booking).

You will have access to hot showers, toilets & other facilities – and includes breakfast the following morning.  

Pre Challenge Transfers

We’ve a range of shuttle services to take you to your start line, before your challenge. Taunton Station is the closest rail link to Dunster basecamp (it’s on the Great Western line).

Ideal for all starting in Dunster.

From Taunton train station to Dunster basecamp. This service will run:

  • Friday – set departure time at either 4pm or 7pm 
  • Saturday – set departure time at 6.30am or 8am

Post Challenge Transfers

We’ve a range of shuttle services to take you where you need to go after your challenge.

Ideal for anyone finishing at Dunster basecamp

To Taunton Station – operating regular service, although there may be a wait at quiet times (max 45 mins) at quiet times, during the hours:

  • Saturday  – 13:00 – last train
  • Sunday – 07:00 – 09:00

Ideal for anyone 1st Half Challengers

To Dunster basecamp – operating regular service, although there may be a wait at quiet times (max 45 mins) at quiet times, during the hours:

  • Saturday  – 11:00 – 19:00

We then offer a shuttle to Taunton station form Dunster.

Post Challenge Transfers

We’ve a range of shuttle services to take you where you need to go after your challenge.

Ideal for anyone finishing at Dunster (basecamp)

To Taunton Station – operating regular service, although there may be a wait at quiet times (up to 2 hours), during the hours:

  • Saturday  – 1pm – last train
  • Sunday – 8am for those camping Saturday night.

Baggage Transfers

We’ve a baggage service to store your bags safely at Dunster (basecamp) – for a change of clothes or shoes, extra layers for after your challenge, or those extra post event snacks you can’t do without!

Please note the max weight limits – these are strict, and bags will be weighed. Quoted prices are per bag.

Baggage services will be paid in cash/card on the day – and you cannot pre book.

Ideal for all Challengers.

Store your bag safely at the start in Dunster (basecamp).

For all official Runners (ie  confirmed as a Runner on entry & dressed as such on the day) – our kit drop service will store a small (10kg max) bag for you to keep safe during your challenge:

If you have a ‘heavy’ bag (or a 2nd bag) – this must be booked in and paid for via the other baggage service options.
