New Escape to Provence Virtual Challenge

We’re excited to introduce our New Year Escape to Provence Virtual Challenge – a journey inspired by the French GR Routes – a network of long-distance trails first established nearly a century ago to help the active and curious discover the country’s most beautiful and historic landscapes.

Choose from 5 distance options, then from 12th January, walk, jog, or run your way from a Southern French town to Provence over first few months of 2026, logging your activity anywhere, anytime. You’ll progress along an interactive virtual map, travelling through lavender fields, medieval towns, and the rolling countryside of one of Europe’s most beautiful regions – all while staying motivated through the winter and into spring.

Further details about our Virtual Challenge:

• Take part from 12th Jan – 6th April 2026 (Easter Monday)

• Registration open 5th – 31st January.

• 5 distance options from 100km – 800km

• Optional neck buff & medal

• Milestone prize draws

• Finisher certificate

• Automatic activity logging on a live, interactive map

It’s the perfect way to keep moving through the winter months, top up your mileage, and connect with thousands of fellow challengers as part of the Ultra Challenge community. And why not invite friends & family to join? Track each other’s progress and add a little friendly competition to the journey – all with the main goal to get active and outdoors.

Those signing up with our New Year Deal can join Escape to Provence for free, making it an ideal companion challenge to turn your training into something fun and interactive. All new Ultra Challenge registrations will receive a free entry code upon sign up.

Or just sign up to the Virtual Challenge now and start your journey to Provence from wherever you are! Sign Up Here!
