The London Winter Walk, our first event of the year, has raised an impressive £750,000 for over 150 UK charities on JustGiving so far, marking a significant increase of £200,000 compared to the 2024 event.

Fundraising Successes

The official Series and Challenge Partners have been at the forefront of this fundraising success. Notably, Motor Neurone Disease AssociationMacmillan Cancer SupportBritish Heart FoundationMind, and The Brain Tumour Charity have seen some of the highest fundraising totals among the more than 150 charities who had fundraisers participate. Their dedication to promoting the Ultra Challenge Series really shows in the incredible support they receive from participants, and the valuable funds they have raised on the back of our event as a result of this.

Growing Charity Support

In recent years, the London Winter Walk has seen a big increase in charity fundraisers (up 35% on 2024). This trend is not surprising, given that the event takes place during a quiet period for challenge events, and many are looking to kickstart the new year with healthy outdoor activities.

More Corporate Teams

It was great to see so many businesses energising their teams across the weekend, and bringing together colleagues to take on a 5km, 10km, half marathon or full marathon walk. More than 1 in 8 participants on this year’s Winter Walk were part of a corporate group. Our events really are a great way to engage employees, support a corporate “charity of the year”, and encourage employee wellbeing through physical activity.

More to Come…

With 18 more events to come throughout 2025, we’re aiming for a blockbuster year of fundraising for our charity clients. The charities who really get behind our events & throw shoulder into getting the word out to their supporters are seeing some incredible results. So while personal finances may be tighter than normal, more people than ever want to get our and support the causes that matter to them!
