OPTION 1 - CHARITY SPONSORSHIP

Pay a Low Registration Fee & do 'lots' of Fundraising for a chosen Charity. The Charity covers your event place cost.

Ideal if you can raise lots of money for your chosen charity (they pay for your event place). There's 400+ Charities.

 

  • FULL CHALLENGE:

£15 Reg Fee online

+ at least £595 charity sponsorship

  • HALF CHALLENGE:

£10 Reg Fee online

+ at least £395 Charity sponsorship

 

  • QUARTER CHALLENGE:

£5 Reg Fee online

+ at least  £245 Charity sponsorship

Note: At least 50% of the Min Sponsorship target should be with your Charity by 6 weeks prior to the Challenge. At this time your Charity will pay a Fee for your place to the Organiser (similar to the Self Funding cost). Failure to meet the 50% target may result in cancellation by your charity. The remaining 50% should be with your Charity 4 weeks after the Challenge.

OPTION 2 - MIXED FUNDING

Lower Charity Fundraising Target - & you pay half the Event Self Fund cost (chosen Charity pays the other half).

BAGGAGE

All baggage services are paid for in cash on the morning of the challenge ONLY (cannot be pre-booked).

  • Baggage storage at Kendal - £5 

Baggage transfers to your finish

  • Half Challengers - £5
  • Quarter Challengers - £5

Baggage transfers to half way & then to finish

  • Available to Full Challengers only
  • £15 for walkers & joggers
  • Included for registered runners (10kg/30L small bag max)

 

CAMPING

You must pre-book all camping packages online in advance using the form below.

Available at Kendal (start/finish) Friday & Saturday night, & Lakeside YMCA (halfway) Saturday night only.

 

Pitch Only Package:

  • Tent pitch only - bring your own tent
  • Bring any tent and we will have a space reserved for you
  • Showers will be available
  • x1 next day breakfast
  • x1 baggage transfer to finish or storage

Price - Single - £25 per night  //  Twin share - £40 per night

 

Full Camping Package:

  • x1 2-person tent & x1 roll mat per person - bring your sleeping bag!
  • x1 next day breakfast
  • x1 baggage transfer to finish or storage
  • Showers will be available

Price - Single - £55 per night  //  Twin share - £75 per night

 

LAKESIDE YMCA
If camping isn't your thing, we have accommodation available at the Lakeside YMCA (49km) on Saturday night.

 

This option will suit 2 Day Challengers (mid-challenge), 1st half challengers - (post-challenge) or 2nd half challengers (pre-challenge).

 

You must book online in advance using the form below.

 

  • Female Only or Male Only Dorm bed - £35
  • Private Twin Room - £90
  • Private 6 Bed Room - £210 - ideal for groups of 4-6

 

TRANSPORT

Parking

  • Weekend parking pass - available at Kendal (start/finish), Lakeside (~49km) 
  • £5 per car

Full Challengers (Kendal to Kendal)

  • Parking at start & finish in Kendal - weekend parking pass (see parking section) - £5 per car
  • Before - Shuttles from Kendal station to start - Fri PM and Sat AM departures - £5pp
  • After - Free shuttles to Kendal station

1st Half Challengers (Kendal to Lakeside)

  • Parking at start in Kendal - weekend parking pass (see parking section) - £5 per car
  • Before - Shuttles from Kendal station to start - Fri PM and Sat AM departures - £5pp
  • Parking at finish in Lakeside - weekend parking pass (see parking section) - £5 per car
  • After - transfer back to Kendal start/station - £5pp

2nd Half Challengers (Lakeside to Kendal)

  • Parking at start in Lakeside - weekend parking pass (see parking section) - £5 per car
  • Before - Kendal to Lakeside start - Sat 5am departure - £10pp
  • Parking at finish in Kendal - weekend parking pass (see parking section) - £5 per car
  • After - Free shuttles to Kendal station

1st Quarter Challengers (Kendal to Ambleside)

  • Parking at start in Kendal - weekend parking pass (see parking section) - £5 per car
  • Before - Shuttles from Kendal station to start - Fri PM and Sat AM departures - £5pp
  • After - transfer back to Kendal start/station - £5pp

 

MEALS

All food on the Saturday and Sunday is included for challengers apart from breakfast (NB: campers/YMCA have breakfast included in their package). Please se below for additional meal options that are available to be pre-book. 

  • Friday Night Dinner (for those camping with us at Kendal on Friday night) - £10
  • Saturday Breakfast (for those not camping with us) - £7.50
  • SundayBreakfast (for those not camping with us or staying at the YMCA) - £7.50
  • Supporter Meal at ~25km -  Picnic Lunch - £5
  • Supporter Meal at ~50km - Hot Lunch - £10
  • Supporter Meal at ~100km/Main Finish - £10

You'll meet others - our Team will support you!

 

Select 'Individual' within the Reg Form (create or join a Team later by logging back in)

 

Select category: Walk - Jog - Run

 

Choose a 'Start Time' slot

CREATE A NEW TEAM >

Select 'Create a Team' if you are 1st Team Member to register.

 

  • You'll become the Team Captain
  • You'll need a Team Name
  • Create a Password (optional)
  • You Register in full yourself
  • Choose the Team's Start Time 
  • Give Team Name / Passsword to those joining
  • Others search for Team Name when registering
  • You'll receive details of people joining the Team

 

Note: If fundraising, the min target is per person - NOT per Team

 

Team Members can fundraise for the same, or different Charities, or Self Fund.

 

Teams can be of any size

 

Teams can all do the same challenge - or a MIX (eg some Full or Half, some Walk or Run etc)

  • 'Team Captain' gives you Team Name
  • And a Password if they set one up
  • You register in full yourself via the website
  • On the form - search for Team Name
  • + enter password if applicable
  • Team Captain will have chosen Team's Start Time
  • Team Captain will be emailed your details also
