Our range of bookable optional extras are available from Friday 10th June evening till Sunday 12th June morning, and are designed to make the planning for your challenge easier so that on the day all you need to worry about is the challenge! Please see below for further details then click ‘BOOK NOW’ to make your bookings.

Parking

Parking is available at the main venues. If you’re not doing the full Challenge (100 km) – check that our optional Shuttle Services also work for you.

All weekend at – Kendal (basecamp), from Saturday (or Fri eve) – Sunday 10pm. 

Saturday 11 June or Sunday 12 June for the day at – Kendal (basecamp), Ambleside (28km) & Lakeside (49km)

Camping - Friday & Saturday night

At the 0/100 km  ‘start/finish’  in Kendal (basecamp) on Friday 10 &/or Saturday 11.

Inclusive Packages – with pre pitched tent & mattress – (you bring sleeping bag & other equipment) & breakfast the following morning.

Pitch Only Option – bring your own tent or campervan (+ all equipment) & breakfast the following morning.

Hot showers, rest area, changing rooms, & hot drinks included. Use our optional Baggage Service to move your kit from the start.

Ideal for all Challengers starting and finishing in Kendal (basecamp).

Spacious 2-man tent & mattress – all set up and ready for you. You need to bring sleeping bag & other equipment.

Roomy 3-man tent & mattresses all set up and ready for you – plenty of space for 2 people and bags! 

Reserve a space for your tent or campervan. You’ll have access to hot showers, toilets & other facilities – and includes breakfast the following morning.  

Reserve a space in our campsite for 2 people, sharing one tent/camper van. You will have access to hot showers, toilets & other facilities – and includes breakfast the following morning.

YMCA SOUTH CAMP (LAKESIDE)

YMCA South Camp rooms available at our Lakeside ‘half way’ for Saturday night – with dorms or private room options. Towels and linen are provided.

Saturday 11th night – suitable for 2 Day  100km (half way) OR 1st Half challengers (post finish) & 2nd Half challengers (pre start).

Shared female dorm rooms sleeps up to 6 people. Access to shared bathroom facilities, and a breakfast Sunday morning.

Shared male dorm rooms sleeps up to 6 people. Access to shared bathroom facilities, and a breakfast Sunday morning.

Shared mixed dorm rooms sleep up to 6 people, book x2 beds. Ideal for couples/ friends. Access to shared bathroom facilities, and a breakfast Sunday morning.

Private twin rooms will have access to own bathroom facilities, and a breakfast Sunday morning per person.

Private dorm rooms are ideal for groups, and have 6 single beds. Access to own bathroom facilities, and a breakfast Sunday morning per person.

Camping - Saturday night

At the 49 km  ‘half way’ rest stop in Lakeside  on Saturday 11th.

Pre Challenge transfers

We’ve a range of shuttle services to take you to your start line, before your challenge. Kendal Station is the closest rail link to the Kendal Rugby Club basecamp (it’s on the main line from Central Manchester)

Ideal for anyone starting in Kendal.

Our shuttle service will take you from Kendal train station, to the startline of the challenge and running during the below times:

  • Friday 16:00 – 20:00
  • Saturday 06:00 – 09:00

Ideal for 1st Half Challengers.

Park your car at the finish in Lakeside & get a shuttle to your start line in Kendal. This service will run:

  • Only once on Saturday at 06:30

Ideal for 2nd Half Challengers.

Park your car at the finish in Kendal & get a shuttle to your start line in Lakeside. This service will run:

  • Only once on Sunday at 05:00 (remember – it’s an early start!)

Ideal for 1st Quarter Challengers.

Park your car at the finish in Ambleside & get a shuttle to your start line in Kendal. This service will run:

  • Only once on Saturday at 7:00

Post Challenge transfers

We’ve a range of shuttle services to take you where you need to go after your challenge.

Ideal for anyone finishing at Kendal basecamp

To Kendal Station – operating regular service, although there may be a wait at quiet times (max 45 mins) at quiet times, – during the hours:

  • Saturday – 17:00 – last train
  • Sunday – 06:00 – 22:00

Ideal for 1st Half Challengers.

From the finish line in Lakeside back to the start in Kendal (basecamp) & Kendal Station

  • Saturday – midday – Sunday 01:00
  • Sunday – 07:00 (1st Half campers/accommodation the next morning back to basecamp)

Ideal for 2nd half challengers finishing their Challenge in Kendal.

From the finish line in Kendal (basecamp) back to the start in Lakeside.

  • Sunday 

Ideal for 1st Quarter Challengers

From the finish line in Ambleside back to the start in Kendal (basecamp).

  • Saturday – 11:00 – 19:00

Baggage Transfers

We’ve a range of services taking your bags forward for access during the challenge – for a change of clothes or shoes, extra layers for the night, or those snacks you can’t do without!

Please note the max weight limits – these are strict, and bags will be weighed. Quoted prices are per bag.

Baggage services will be paid in cash/card on the day – and you cannot pre book.

Ideal for all Full Challengers.

Store your bag safely at the start in Kendal (basecamp).

Ideal for Full Challenge walkers & joggers. 

We will take your bag (max weight 20kg) from the start, to the half way stop (where you have access to it), and then onwards to the finish in Kendal.

Ideal for all Half Challengers.

We will take your bag (max weight 20kg) from the start to your finish.

Ideal for all Quarter Challengers.

We will take your bag (max weight 20kg) from the start to your finish.

For all official Runners (ie  confirmed as a Runner on entry & dressed as such on the day) – our kit drop service will take a small (10kg max) bag forward for you to access:

  • Full Challenge runners – start > midway > finish
  • Half & Quarter Challenge runners – start > finish 

 

If you have a ‘heavy’ bag (or a 2nd bag) – this must be booked in and paid for via the other baggage service options.
