Book Now for 2025
Bookable extras are designed to make the planning for your challenge as easy as possible – providing options for your joining & leaving arrangements, and are summarised below. As some participant’s travel & logistics may involve parking, transfers, and maybe camping/accommodation also – please check that the combination you book makes sense!

THERE IS PITCH/CAMPERVAN AVAILABLE AT LAKESIDE.
KENDAL – MAIN START VENUE – CAMPING – Friday night before your challenge generally suits Full 100 km, 1st Half, Marathon and 1st Quarter Challengers.
Start venue is also the main finish – Saturday night is bookable for ‘fast finishers’ (runners / joggers).
LAKESIDE – HALF WAY VENUE – YMCA ACCOMMODATION – Saturday night primarily for the 2 Day Full 100 km Challengers option for overnight sleep / recovery – AND also works for 1st half Finishers & for the Sunday morning 2nd Half Challenge starters.
Onsite YMCA option has a mixture of room types – BOOK EARLY to avoid disappointment!
Inclusive camping package or PITCH only option (including campervan) is available at Kendal (basecamp) ONLY.
Parking for your vehicle is available at :
- The Major Start / Finish Venues. This combined with the ‘before & after’ bus transfer options will enable you to join & leave the event ‘sensibly’.
- Supporter Parking Pass – so friends / family can park at some ‘key’ venues along the route.
Shuttle busses to help with your logistics:
- Transfer to the main Kendal start venue from the local train station.
- Transfer from a finish venue back to the start so your car is with you ‘after’ you finish your challenge (ie – You park your car at your finish).
After your challenge:
- Transfers from your finish to a local train station.
- Transfers back to your start venue (where you may have initially parked your car).
Friday Night Dinner – available to book for anyone staying at Kendal (basecamp) on Friday night.
Saturday Morning Breakfast – available to participants beginning their challenge on Saturday morning at Kendal (basecamp). Breakfast the following morning is included in inclusive camping package, but must be booked separately for Pitch Only campers.
Sunday Morning Breakfast – available to ALL participants beginning their challenge on Sunday morning at Lakeside. Breakfast the following morning is NOT included if you have booked pitch only camping you will need to book breakfast separately.
NO NEED TO PRE BOOK – AND IS AVAILABLE ON THE DAY AT YOUR START (Pay cash or Card)
- Have an overnight type bag transferred from your start to your finish (or store in Kendal if on the Full Challenge)
- Full 100 km Challengers – have your bag (or camping gear) transferred to the 50 km Half Way and then on to the finish.
HIRE A 'GEO TRACKER'
Family & friends can follow you every step of the way!
If you’d like family & friends to track your real time progress on your Ultra Challenge, then why not book a new Geo Tracker! Pick it up at the start of the event – share the map with them – and then they’ll be able to see exactly where you are – day & night !
Our Recommendation
We recommend you opt for our shuttle services BEFORE the challenge, where you park your car at your finish line & get our shuttle to your start. This way your car is ready & waiting for you when you finish. Our shuttles from the finish back to the start can have a wait at times – especially during the night and early morning. Alternatively arrange to be dropped off & picked up by a supporter.
Parking
Parking is available at the main venues. If you’re not doing the full Challenge (100 km) – check that our optional Shuttle Services also works for you.
All weekend at Kendal (basecamp)
Friday 4pm – 10pm & Saturday 6am – Sunday 10pm
Ideal for challengers starting/finishing at Kendal (basecamp).
There is a nearby Pay & Display car park (Miller Bridge) where you will be able to leave your car during the day. Paid for locally.
Ideal for Marathon, 1st Quarter & 10k Challengers.
All weekend at Lakeside
Saturday 5am – Sunday 10pm
Ideal for challengers starting/finishing at Lakeside.
Supporters can book a pass for parking at Kendal (basecamp) & Lakeside (50km).
Camping - Friday &/or Saturday night

At the 0/100 km ‘start/finish’ in Kendal (basecamp) on Friday &/or Saturday.
Inclusive Packages – with pre pitched tent & roll mat – (you bring a sleeping bag & other equipment). Parking & breakfast the following morning is included in your package.
Pitch Only Option – bring your own tent or campervan (+ all equipment). Parking & included in your Pitch/Campervan booking. Breakfast is NOT included in your pitch only camping – this must be booked separately
If booking both Friday & Saturday night you will be able to book this via the form and a discount will be applied when booking.
You will be able to add on extra campers to your Pitch ONLY/Campervan option under the same booking. Make sure you look for the Extra Campers’ option under the relevant location where you want to camp on the booking form.
Hot showers, rest area, changing rooms, & hot drinks included. Use our optional Baggage Service to move your kit from the start.
Ideal for all Challengers starting and finishing in Kendal (basecamp).
Friday night – suitable for anyone starting in Kendal. NOTE – if you want dinner on Friday evening (served between 6-9pm- this must also be booked as a separate ‘extra’.
Saturday night – for Full Continuous runners / joggers (likely to finish Sat eve). Do not book Saturday if you are a 2 Day 100km Challenger.
NO DOGS – pets are strictly not permitted on any of our venues, including the campsite.
Spacious 3-man tent & roll mat – all set up and ready for you. You need to bring sleeping bag & other equipment – and includes parking & breakfast for the following morning.

YMCA Accommodation - SATURDAY NIGHT
YMCA Accommodation (LAKESIDE)
YMCA South Camp rooms available at our Lakeside ‘half way’ for Saturday night – with dorms or private room options. Linen (under sheet) is provided.
You may wish to bring your own sleeping equipment eg sleeping bag, pillow, towel.
Saturday night – suitable for 2 Day 100km (half way) OR 1st Half challengers (post finish) & 2nd Half challengers (pre start).
Accommodation is limited so ensure you book early so you don’t miss your chance.
NO DOGS – pets are strictly not permitted on any of our venues.
Shared female dorm rooms sleeps up to 6 people. Access to shared bathroom facilities, and breakfast Sunday morning.
Shared male dorm rooms sleeps up to 6 people. Access to shared bathroom facilities, and breakfast Sunday morning.
Shared mixed dorm rooms sleep up to 6 people. Access to shared bathroom facilities, and breakfast Sunday morning per person.
Private twin rooms will have access to own bathroom facilities, and breakfast Sunday morning per person.
Private dorm rooms are ideal for groups, and have 6 single beds. Access to own bathroom facilities, and breakfast Sunday morning per person.
Camping - Saturday night
Lakeside
At the half way rest stop in Lakeside.
Pitch Only Option – bring your own tent (+ all equipment). Parking is included in your Pitch booking. Breakfast is NOT included in your pitch only camping – this must be booked separately.
You will be able to add on extra campers to your Pitch ONLY option under the same booking. Make sure you look for the Extra Campers’ option under the relevant location where you want to camp on the booking form.
Hot showers, rest area, changing rooms, & hot drinks included. Use our optional Baggage Service to move your kit to the finish line.
Saturday night – ideal for Full 2 Day Challengers (stopping off at the half way stop in Lakeside), 2nd half (Sunday) pre-start & 1st half (Saturday) post-finish. Do not book Saturday if you are a 100km Continuous Challenger.
Reserve a space for your tent or campervan. You’ll have access to hot showers, toilets & other facilities – and includes parking, breakfast is NOT included in your pitch only camping – this must be booked separately.

Pre Challenge transfers
We’ve a range of shuttle services to take you to your start line, before your challenge. Kendal Station is the closest rail link to the Kendal Rugby Club basecamp (it’s on the main line from Central Manchester)
Ideal for anyone starting in Kendal.
Our transfer service will take you from Kendal train station to the start line at Kendal (basecamp), operating a regular service running during the below times:
- Friday 4pm – 8pm
- Saturday 6am – 9am
Ideal for Marathon & 1st Quarter Challengers.
Park your car at the finish in Ambleside & get a shuttle to your start line in Kendal (basecamp). This service will run:
- Only once on Saturday at 7am
Ideal for 1st Half Challengers.
Park your car at the finish in Lakeside & get a shuttle to your start line in Kendal (basecamp). This service will run:
- Only once on Saturday at 6.30am
Ideal for 2nd Half Challengers.
Park your car at the finish in Kendal & get a shuttle to your start line in Lakeside. This service will run:
- Only once on Sunday at 5am (remember – it’s an early start!)
Post Challenge transfers
We’ve a range of shuttle services to take you where you need to go after your challenge.
Ideal for anyone finishing at Kendal basecamp
To Kendal Station – operating a regular service running during the times below, (although there may be a wait at quiet times (max 45 mins) at quiet times):
- Saturday – 5pm – last train
- Sunday – 6am – 10pm
Ideal for Marathon & 1st Quarter Challengers
From the finish line in Ambleside back to the start in Kendal (basecamp).
- Saturday – 11am – 7pm
Ideal for 1st Half Challengers.
From the finish line in Lakeside back to the start in Kendal (basecamp) or Kendal Train Station
- Saturday – 12pm (Midday) – last train
- Sunday – 7am – those staying on site either camping or at the YMCA accommodation heading back to Kendal basecamp or the train station.
Baggage Transfers
We’ve a range of services taking your bags forward for access during the challenge – for a change of clothes or shoes, extra layers for the night, or those snacks you can’t do without!
Please note the max weight limits – these are strict, and bags will be weighed. Quoted prices are per bag.
Baggage services will be paid in cash/card on the day – and you cannot pre book.
Ideal for all Continuous 100km Challengers.
Store your bag safely at the start in Cirencester (basecamp).
Ideal for Full Challenge challengers.
We will take your bag (max weight 20kg) from the start in Richmond, to the half way stop at the Tulley’s Farm (where you have access to it), and then onto the finish at Brighton Racecourse.
Ideal for all Half Challengers.
We will take your bag (max weight 20kg) from your start to your finish.
Ideal for all Quarter Challengers.
We will take your bag (max weight 20kg) from your start to your finish.
For all officially registered Runners – our kit drop service will take a small kit bag (5kg max) forward for you to access:
- Full Challenge runners – start > midway > finish
- Half & Quarter Challenge runners – start > finish
If you have a bag heavier than 5kg/ a 2nd bag – please note the standard rates of our baggage service will apply.
