Bookable extras are designed to make the planning for your challenge as easy as possible -providing options for your joining & leaving arrangements, and are summarised below. Scroll down for details & prices on each category, then click ‘BOOK NOW’ once you’re ready to make an online booking

optional services

CIRENCESTER – MAIN START VENUE (0 km) –  UNIVERSITY ROOMSFriday night before your challenge (generally suits Full 100 km, 1st Half & 1st Quarter Challengers).

Start venue is also the main finish – Saturday night is bookable for ‘fast finishers’ (runners / joggers) – and for 1st Half Finishers & 2nd Half Starters (both with correct transfer booked as well) 

No Camping is available at Cirencester basecamp

WOTTON HALF WAY VENUE (53 km) CAMPINGSaturday night – primarily for the ‘2 Day  Daylight Full 100 km’ option for overnight sleep / recovery – AND also works for ‘1st Half & 2nd Quarter Finishers’ & for the early Sunday morning 2nd Half starters.  

ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGES OR ‘PITCH ONLY’ OPTION (inc Camper Vans) ARE AVAILABLE

Parking for your vehicle is available at :

  • The Major Start / Finish Venues. This combined with the ‘before & after’ bus transfer options will enable you to join & leave the event ‘sensibly’.
  • Supporter Parking Pass – so friends / family can park at some ‘key’ venues along the route. 

Shuttle busses to help with your logistics:

  • Transfer to main Cirencester start venue from local station. 
  • Transfer from a finish venue back to the start so your car is with you ‘after’ you finish your challenge (ie – You park your car at your finish)

After your challenge:

  • Transfers from your finish to Local Station
  • Transfers back to your start venue (where you may have initially parked your car)

NO NEED TO PRE BOOK – AND IS AVAILABLE ON THE DAY AT YOUR START (Pay cash or Card)

  • Have an overnight type bag transferred from your start to your finish (or store in Cirencester if on the Full Challenge)
  • Full 100 km Challengers – have your bag (or camping gear) transferred to the ~53 km Half Way and then on to the finish.

Family & friends can follow you every step of the way!

If you’d like family & friends to track your real time progress on your Ultra Challenge, then why not book a new Geo Tracker!  Pick it up at the start of the event – share the map with them – and then they’ll be able to see exactly where you are – day & night !

Parking is available at the main venues. If you’re not doing the full Challenge (100 km) – check that our optional Shuttle Services also work for you.

All weekend at – Cirencester (basecamp), from Saturday (or Fri eve) – Sunday 10pm. 

Saturday 25 June or Sunday 26 June for the day at – Cirencester (basecamp), Painswick (24km) & Wotton-Under-Edge (53km)

Supporters can book a pass for parking at Cirencester (basecamp), Painswick (24km) &  Wotton-Under-Edge (53km) .

Accommodation - Friday & Saturday

Cirencester (basecamp)

Royal Agricultural University ‘halls of residence’ rooms available at our Cirencester basecamp for Friday & /or Saturday nights – with single & twin share options. You must bring your own sleeping bag & towel – breakfast the following morning is included.

Friday 24th night – suitable for anyone starting at Cirencester. 

Saturday 25th night – for Full Continuous runners / joggers (likely to finish Sat eve), OR 1st Half challengers (post finish) & 2nd Half challengers (pre start). Do not book Saturday if you are  a 2 Day 100 km Challenger. 

Single room with en-suite for one night. 

Twin room (2 people sharing) with en-suite for one night. 

Camping - Saturday NIGHT

Wotton-under-Edge

At the 53 km  ‘half way’ rest stop in Wotton on Saturday 25th.

Inclusive Packages – with pre pitched tent & mattress – (you bring sleeping bag & other equipment) & breakfast the following morning.

Pitch Only Option – bring your own tent or campervan (+ all equipment) & breakfast the following morning.

Hot showers, rest area, changing rooms, & hot drinks included. Use our optional Baggage Service to move your kit from the start.

Ideal for the 2 Day 100 km Challenge. Also may suit 1st Half & 2nd Quarter challengers (post finish) and 2nd Half challengers (pre start). 

Spacious 2-man tent & mattress – all set up and ready for you. You need to bring sleeping bag & other equipment.

Roomy 3-man tent & mattresses all set up and ready for you – plenty of space for 2 people and bags! 

Reserve a space for your tent or campervan. You’ll have access to hot showers, toilets & other facilities – and includes breakfast Sunday morning.

Pre Challenge Transfers

We’ve a range of shuttle services to take you to your start line, before your challenge. Kemble Station is the closest rail link to the Cirencester Royal Agricultural University basecamp (it’s on the Swindon to Gloucester line).

Ideal for all starting in Cirencester.

From the station to the main start line & University accommodation at Cirencester basecamp – on a regular shuttle service during the times:

  • Friday 16:00 – 20:00
  • Saturday 06:00 – 09:00

Ideal for 1st Half Challengers

Park your car at the finish in Wotton-Under-Edge & get a shuttle to your start line in Cirencester (basecamp). This service will run:

  • Only once on Saturday at 06:00

Ideal for 2nd Half Challengers

Park your car at the finish in Cirencester & get a shuttle to your start line in Wotton-Under-Edge. This service will run:

  • Only once on Sunday at 05:00 (remember – it’s an early start!)

Ideal for 1st Quarter Challengers

Park your car at the finish in Painswick & get a shuttle to your start line in Cirencester (basecamp). This service will run:

  • Only once on Saturday at 06:30

Ideal for 2nd Quarter Challengers

Park your car at the finish in Wotton-Under-Edge & get a shuttle to your start line in Painswick. This service will run:

  • Only once on Saturday 08:00

Post Challenge Transfers

We’ve a range of shuttle services to take you where you need to go after your challenge.

Ideal for anyone finishing at Cirencester basecamp

To Kemble Station – operating regular service, although there may be a wait at quiet times (max 45 mins) at quiet times, – during the hours:

  • Saturday – 17:00 – last train
  • Sunday – 06:00 – 22:00

Ideal for 1st Half Challengers

From the finish line in Wotton-Under-Edge to Stroud Station:

  • Saturday – 11:00 – 22:00

Ideal for 1st Half Challengers

From the finish line in Wotton-Under-Edge back to the start in Cirencester (basecamp)

  • Saturday – 11:00 – 23:00
  • Sunday – 07:00 (1st Half campers the next morning back to basecamp)

Ideal for 1st Quarter Challengers

From the finish line in Painswick to Stroud station:

  • Saturday – 11:00 – 17:00

Ideal for 1st Quarter Challengers

From the finish line in Painswick back to the start in Cirencester (basecamp).

  • Saturday – 11:00 – 17:00

Baggage Transfers

We’ve a range of services taking your bags forward for access during the challenge – for a change of clothes or shoes, extra layers for the night, or those snacks you can’t do without!

Please note the max weight limits – these are strict, and bags will be weighed. Quoted prices are per bag.

Baggage services will be paid in cash/card on the day – and you cannot pre book.

Ideal for all Full Challengers.

Store your bag safely at the start in Cirencester (basecamp).

Ideal for Full Challenge walkers & joggers. 

We will take your bag (max weight 20kg) from the start, to the half way stop (where you have access to it), and then onwards to the finish in Cirencester.

Ideal for all Half Challengers.

We will take your bag (max weight 20kg) from the start to your finish.

Ideal for all Quarter Challengers.

We will take your bag (max weight 20kg) from the start to your finish.

For all official Runners (ie  confirmed as a Runner on entry & dressed as such on the day) – our kit drop service will take a small (10kg max) bag forward for you to access:

  • Full Challenge runners – start > midway > finish
  • Half & Quarter Challenge runners – start > finish 

 

If you have a ‘heavy’ bag (or a 2nd bag) – this must be booked in and paid for via the other baggage service options.
