We’re based in Woolwich, London, and started out as a company called ‘Action Challenge Ltd’ – which, for 25 years or so organised challenge events in the UK, Europe & Worldwide.

We changed our name in 2026 to ‘Ultra Challenge Ltd’ and now focus on the successful series of UK endurance style events, which in 2026, will see 40,000 or so adventures take part in 20 fantastic events – and raise over £12 million for UK charities.

The small overseas ‘tour’ side of the original company was spun off, and now sits in a separate – totally independent & unrelated organisation – called AC Events Group Ltd.

Ultra Challenge’s ambition is to be the UK’s favourite series of Treks & Trail Challenges – enhancing thousands of lives by enabling them to get active, ‘Push Themselves Further’ in wonderful British countryside, and enjoy the camaraderie, friendship and purpose of the growing Ultra Challenge community.
