We’re based in Woolwich, London, and started out as a company called ‘Action Challenge Ltd’ – which, for 25 years or so organised challenge events in the UK, Europe & Worldwide.

That original company is now ‘Ultra Challenge Ltd’ and focuses on the successful series of UK endurance style events, which in 2026 will see 40,000 or so adventures take part in 20 fantastic events – and raise £12 million for UK charities. The smaller overseas ‘tour’ side of the original company now sits in a separate, and totally independent unrelated organisation – called AC Events Group Ltd – which trades as ‘Action Challenge’.

Ultra Challenge’s ambition is to be the UK’s favourite series of Treks & Trail Challenges – enhancing peoples lives by enabling them to get active, ‘Push Themselves Further’ in wonderful British countryside, and enjoy the camaraderie & friendship of the growing Ultra Challenge community.
