London Winter Walk

A great event to walk off Christmas celebrations, and kick start a New Year fitness regime! There are Full Marathon & Half Marathon & 10 K options, all starting & finishing at The Oval Cricket Ground on Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 January, which take in highlights of the Thames, its historic bridges, and many of the Capital’s key landmarks. Families are welcome, there’s a free winter bobble hat & neck buff, rest stops with snacks, with a special medal and hot food at the finish.

Easter 50 Challenge

The first Ultra Challenge of the season. From our Windsor Racecourse basecamp, you can Walk, Jog or Run looped routes through the Great Park with fantastic Castle views, along the Thames Path, and enjoy some wonderful surrounding countryside. You’ll get a few Easter surprises, a medal & neck buff, hot food & drink at the finish – and it’s a great event to start the season, to test those legs, and get in shape!

Isle of Wight Challenge

The Island’s coastal path is the setting for an unforgettable challenge, with the iconic Needles, spectacular cliffs, stunning views, and sandy beaches. From our Chale basecamp in the south, it’s clockwise to Cowes, with the historic resorts of Ventnor, Shanklin, & Sandown then en route for the full 106 km ‘full Island’ challenge. With half & quarter island options also, plus camping packages – there’s a fantastic active bank holiday weekend challenge for all.

Jurassic Coast Challenge

Spectacular World Heritage coastline, and an amazing challenge with distance options for all! From the Corfe Castle start, the route heads down to Swanage, and along through Lulworth Cove, past Durdle Door, with ups & downs to Weymouth at half way. For 100 km challengers, it’s past Portland Bill, Chesil Beach, and on to West Bay’s famous sandstone cliffs (of TV’s Broadchurch) – before a welcome finish line celebration in the vibrant Dorset town of Bridport.

London 2 Brighton Challenge

The original Ultra Challenge® in its 10th year, with a varied 60% off-road route. A Richmond start by the Thames, then towards the North Downs and on through some  wonderful Surrey & Sussex countryside. The Full 100 km challenge heads up & over the South Downs before the welcome sight of the Brighton coastline and an unforgettable racecourse finish line. A classic challenge – and one for your list!

Lake District Challenge

Take on & enjoy some of England’s finest countryside at your pace. From our convenient Kendal basecamp (with optional camping) the full 100 km route is an anticlockwise loop taking in a few tough hills & fells, Ambleside, Lake Windermere at half way (with hostel accommodation option) nature reserves, and forests  – with stunning views en-route. A huge welcome awaits back at basecamp after a momentous challenge!

Cotswold Way Challenge

A spectacular 100 km looped route from our new basecamp in Cirencester – the ‘capital’ of the Cotswolds. It not only has fabulous views, idyllic villages, and rolling hills – it’s easy to access, plenty of parking, and there’s onsite pre-event University style accommodation at basecamp – so it’s better than ever! A testing challenge, with a few tough climbs, stunning views right across to Wales, and rewards with a real sense of achievement.

Peak District Challenge

We’ll welcome 2,000 adventurers into the fabulous Peak District National Park, and our major ‘Basecamp’ hub set-up in idyllic Bakewell, with a range of camping options, hospitality & local accommodation. The full 100 km Challenge takes in a varied figure of 8 route through Derbyshire’s finest scenery with wonderful views, and with 50 km, 25 km  & 10 mile distance options passing Chatsworth House – there’s a Peaks challenge for all! 

North Downs 50 Challenge

We are excited to be bringing back the popular  ‘North Downs 50‘ for 2023 – with a new start & finish basecamp hub venue in Guildford. The route takes in some of the best of the North Downs & Surrey Hills – with magnificent views over the surrounding countryside. Join us for this summer challenge – it’s only a short train ride from the Capital – there’s plenty of parking – and we’ll also have accommodation options.

South West Coast 50 Challenge

From basecamp in the shadow of the imposing Dunster Castle, the route takes in the 1st section of the 630 mile SW Coastal Path – from its official Minehead start to Porlock, with fantastic views out towards S.Wales. Then it’s up & over Exmoor via Dunkery Beacon as we head back around to basecamp after an unforgettable 50 km and 1600 metres of climb. With camping options, BBQ, bar, entertainment & beaches nearby, it’s a summer festival not to miss!

South Coast Challenge

Take on some of England’s finest scenery with an Eastbourne start, up Beachy Head, over the magnificent Seven Sisters, and along the famous South Downs Way, with stunning sea views to Brighton at half way. For the full 100 km challenge option, it’s Devil’s Dyke and a few more ups & downs which lie ahead before Arundel’s historic castle & cathedral come into view after an amazing journey.

Thames Path Challenge

Take on England’s greatest river with a 100 km route heading out from Putney Bridge, past Hampton Court to Runnymede, of Magna Carta fame, at the 50 km half way. For the full challenge – it’s on to Windsor and then past wonderful historic scenery & countryside to Henley. With half & quarter distance options also, the Bridges Trek, and the Henley 10K – there’s a Thames Path Challenge for everyone.

Thames Bridges Trek

Venture across the Capital with unrivalled views of the skyline. Setting out from Putney Bridge – it’s East towards the City, zig-zagging over 16 of London’s historic bridges – each with its own fascinating story, and with a mid-point refreshment stop at The Oval for some snacks & drinks. 25km later it’s a finish line celebration & some food in Southwark Park, beyond the majestic Tower Bridge, where a big cheers, some fizz, a medal & food.

Thames Moonlight 10 Walk

Kicks off the Thames Path Challenge ‘festival’ on Friday evening. Take on a spirited 10 km or energetic 10 mile looped route through the heart of London as darkness falls, passing famous landmarks – including St Paul’s, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, the London Eye and more. A lively finish awaits – with some fizz, a ‘Moon medal’, some hot food & drink! Perfect to join with friends after work for an active evening on the town!

The Henley 10K

It’s a fabulous 10 km loop from the riverside finish venue of the main Thames Path Challenge near Henley Bridge. A great ‘mini’ challenge to take it on at your pace on Sunday morning, and get your family & friends involved. There’s a challenge neck buff, finishers medal, glass of fizz, and an optional BBQ + a ‘Kids’ 2 K walk (with goodie bag) for the young challengers.

Chiltern 50 Challenge

Our end of season challenge takes in some of the best of the Chilterns countryside, with historic trails, nature reserves, forests, and a few hills with fantastic views. Starting & finishing at our basecamp near Henley, there’s a Saturday night celebration BBQ, bar & entertainment, with extensive on-site camping & parking options. 

Halloween Walk

A hair-raising hike around some of the City’s scary streets and historic haunts! Dress to distress, and our creepy dungeon keepers at The Oval Cricket Ground basecamp start & finish will meet, greet & shock! There’s ghostly looped routes, with zombie rest stops, and if you manage to get back in one piece there’s a macabre medal, a glass of the Devil’s fizz, some horrific hot food & drink.
